UT Vols Basketball unable to keep up with hot handed Vanderbilt Commodores

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsKnoxville, TN Tennessee was unable to counter a barrage of 3-pointers from Vanderbilt as the Commodores picked up an 88-74 victory over the Volunteers at Thompson-Boling Arena Wednesday.

Despite Vanderbilt’s significant height advantage, with three players standing 7-foot or taller, the Vols dominated the points in the paint, 34-18. The difference came beyond the arc, as the Commodores hit 13 3-pointers, to just four for the Volunteers.

Clarksville Police asks Public Help Identifying Fraud Suspects

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police Detective Christy Arwood is trying to identify two suspects involved in the Fraudulent Use Of Credit/ATM Card and is requesting public assistance.

In July of 2015 a white male and a white female were photographed at several businesses using the stolen ATM card. The card was also used in the Nashville area.

Clarksville Police Department reports Robert Lindlau Indicted on Two Counts of Rape

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Robert Lindlau (a 38-year-old Clarksville resident) has been indicted on two counts of Rape.

On March, 17th, 2015, when Lindlau was an assistant manager at a local business, he caught two women shoplifting and escorted them to an office in the back of the store. He told the women that the police had been called but it would be about an hour before the police showed up.

No call to police had ever been made.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputies respond to Home Invasion on Tylertown Road

 

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a home invasion early Wednesday morning, January 20th, 2016. The incident occurred in the 100 block of Tylertown Road at approximately 12:10am.

Two armed suspects forcefully entered the home after the homeowner heard someone knocking and opened the door thinking it was a roommate. Once inside the suspects physically attacked the homeowner. Then held all five residents of the home at gunpoint while they searched the house for prescription drugs and cash.

Clarksville-Montgomery County under Winter Storm Watch beginning Friday morning, January 22nd

 

National Weather ServiceNashville, TN – The National Weather Service (NWS) in Nashville has issued a winter storm watch for Clarksville-Montgomery County as well as parts of Middle Tennessee that will be in effect for Friday morning through Saturday morning.

The wintry mix that plagued Middle Tennessee earlier today has now moved east. Although many roads will likely remain slick and hazardous through this evening, no additional snow or ice accumulation is expected.
