Clarksville, TN – Although Saturday’s doubleheader is still scheduled to be played between Austin Peay State University and Eastern Illinois, the Red Coat Society induction has been postponed until February 27th, 2016.
With inclement weather expected to hit Clarksville much of Friday, it has been determined this year’s Red Coat Society induction ceremony of Dave Luther and Ed Baggett will be postponed to the late February date when the Govs play host to Southeast Missouri in a 4:00pm doubleheader.
To be eligible for the Red Coat Society, an individual must be a member in good standing of the Governors Club for at least five years, must have supported the athletic programs at Austin Peay through financial contributions or participation in Governors Club fundraisers and other events, must have supported more than one sport both at home and away whenever possible and must be recognized within the APSU community for his association with Austin Peay athletics.
