Clarksville, TN – Senior guard Tiasha Gray, of the Austin Peay State University women’s basketball team, has been named the Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week.
Gray scored a career-high 38 points for the Governors in Saturday’s loss to Belmont, adding 11 assists for her season’s second double-double. The contest also served as her 10th career 30-point performance and second in 2015-16, both coming in Ohio Valley Conference play–she’s now averaging 24.2 ppg in OVC games, second in the league.
The Clarksville native was 13-of-25 from the floor and a perfect 8-for-8 from the free-throw line against Belmont.Her assist-to-turnover ratio is now 2:1 in OVC play (37 assists:18 turnovers) after her 11 assist, three turnover performance against the Bruins.

Other notable performances by Austin Peay athletes included
- Freshman pole vaulter Dascha Hix, of the track and field team, hit a personal-best and conference-leading 3.65m (11-11.75) at the ETSU Invitational, finishing tied for first in her third career meet. She is tied for 26th nationally among the nation’s freshmen in the event.
