UT Vols Basketball faces #24 South Carolina Gamecocks at Thompson-Boling Arena, Saturday

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsKnoxville, TN – Tennessee wraps up its final homestand of the season on Saturday, playing host to the 24th-ranked South Carolina Gamecocks at Thompson-Boling Arena. Tipoff is slated for 12:00pm ET/11:00pm CT on the SEC Network.

After beginning the season 8-0 at home, the Vols (9-9, 2-4 SEC) have dropped their last two contests at the friendly confines of TBA. UT fell by a 92-88 count against No. 21 Texas A&M on January 9th prior to Wednesday’s 88-74 loss to Vanderbilt. South Carolina (17-1, 4-1 SEC) represent the third ranked opponent Tennessee has faced this season and the second to make the trip to Knoxville.

Austin Peay State University Basketball Doubleheader Saturday against Eastern Illinois still on

Austin Peay State University Sports - APSU - Governors - Lady GovsClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s athletics department has announced that Saturday’s Ohio Valley Conference basketball doubleheader against Eastern Illinois will be played as scheduled.

The women’s game will begin at 4:00pm followed by the men’s game at 6:30pm in the Dunn Center.

In addition, admission will be free to the public for both games of the doubleheader and seating will be general admission.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Winter Weather update

 

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – Deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office responded to 12 accidents and numerous motorist assists calls in the county today.

One of the accidents occurred on Highway 12 around 12:45pm when a tree fell across the road hitting a vehicle. Despite extensive property damage to the vehicle, the driver was not injured.

Nashville Sounds Job Fair Saturday rescheduled Due To Weather

 

Team Will Hold Future Job Fairs On January 27th, February 13th, and February 20th

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – Due to weather conditions, the Nashville Sounds Baseball Club has cancelled its planned Saturday job fair at First Tennessee Park, which had been scheduled for 10:00am to 2:00pm.

In place of the cancelled event, the team has announced three future job fairs: Wednesday, January 27th from 3:00pm to 7:00pm, Saturday, February 13th from 10:00am to 2:00pm, and Saturday, February 20th from 10:00am to 2:00pm.

Clarksville Department of Electricity working power outage cause by vehicle hitting a pole

 

Clarksville Department of Electricity - CDE - CDE LightbandClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Department of Electricity (CDE) reports an outage on the south side of Clarksville that affected approximately 2500 customers, due to a pole being struck by a vehicle on the 1000 block of Riverside Drive across from Regions Bank.
