Nashville, TN – Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Special Agents have arrested and charged a Hartsville man accused of trying to hire someone to harm his neighbor.
At the request of 15th District Attorney General Tommy Thompson, TBI Special Agents began investigating Kent Howard Smith on January 21st. During the course of the investigation, Agents developed information that Smith made several attempts to hire a third party to cause serious bodily harm to his neighbor.
Extrusion profile manufacturer to create 27 jobs
Nashville, TN – Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Randy Boyd along with Bavarian Polymers officials announced today the company will invest $2.7 million to expand operations at its Dickson Facility.
The door and window extrusion profile manufacturer will create 27 new jobs in Dickson County.

Gray, who earns her second TSWA award this season, averaged 22.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 9.5 assists in back-to-back Ohio Valley Conference victories over Morehead State and Eastern Illinois. Against the Eagles, the Clarksville native totaled 28 points, a school-record tying 13 assists, five rebounds and six steals, leading to APSU’s first road win of 2015-16.
City of Clarksville Finance and Revenue Department to be open Saturdays in February to take Property Tax Payments
Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville Finance and Revenue Department will be open each Saturday during the month of February to receive property tax payments. The office will be open from 8:30am to 12:30pm.
The expanded office hours will help to accommodate citizens that otherwise would not be able to perform their City business during the regular weekday hours of 7:30am to 5:00pm.

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University Student-Athlete Advisory (SAAC) and Altra Federal Credit Union will serve as hosts to the Hoops for Heroes Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser, 5:30pm, Wednesday, prior to the APSU women’s 7:00pm. basketball game with SIU Edwardsville.
The dinner will take place in the Govs Club area on the Dunn Center third-floor level. Cost for the dinner is $10.00 per ticket, with proceeds going towards sending a military veteran and family to the Ohio Valley Conference Basketball Championships.

Clarksville, TN – A meeting of the Ohio Valley Conference’s Preseason Players of the Year will highlight a 7:00pm, Wednesday meeting between Austin Peay State University women’s basketball team and SIU Edwardsville at the Dunn Center.
In the OVC’s preseason awards, Austin Peay senior guard Tiasha Gray, the 2014-15 OVC Defensive Player of the Year, was named OVC Preseason Player of the Year by the league’s media.
Montgomery County Election Commission reminds everyone that Voter Registration Deadline is March 1st
Montgomery County, TN – The last day to register to vote for the March 1st, 2016 Presidential Preference Primary and County Republican Primary will be Monday, February 1st.
The Montgomery County Election Commission office will be open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm, as well as Saturday, January 30th, from 9:00am to Noon, for voter registration prior to the deadline.
