Clarksville, TN – An eight-minute stretch without a field goal doomed Austin Peay State University women’s basketball in a 72-61 loss to Ohio Valley Conference leader SIU Edwardsville, Wednesday night at the Dunn Center.
Austin Peay (7-14, 5-3 OVC) led by nine points, 40-31, early in the third quarter thanks to a 12-2 run that started at the second quarter’s end.
Montgomery County Parks and Recreation to hold Public Input Meeting on Fredonia Community Center, Montgomery County Greenway
Montgomery County, TN – Montgomery County Parks and Recreation will host its second Public Input Meeting for the Fredonia Community Center and first Public Input Meeting for the proposed Montgomery County Greenway on Thursday, February 11th, at 6:30pm.

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University, which turns 90 next year, recently experienced a late growth spurt. Earlier this week, the campus grew by about 10 acres when the school finally closed on property previously owned by the Jenkins and Wynne auto dealership.
The $8.8 million purchase marks one of the largest expansions in the University’s history, and it now connects the 182-acre College Street campus with downtown Clarksville.

Clarksville, TN – The Department of Art and Design, with support from The Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts, is pleased to welcome Safa Samiezadé-Yazd to the campus of Austin Peay State University.
Samiezadé-Yazd will be on campus to give a brief introduction into the world of Arabic calligraphy, graffiti writing, street art and urban culture, and the artists, graffiti writers and typographers who keep the tradition alive.
Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department is now taking applications for the upcoming Citizen’s Police Academy (CPA) class.
The class will start on March 8th, 2016 and the graduation date will be on May 31st, 2016.
The CPA covers all facets of the Police Department’s activities, from administration to tactical operations.
Cookeville, TN – In two separate cases, Special Agents from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation have obtained indictments for a total of five individuals in connection to allegations of the mistreatment of inmates in the Morgan County Jail.
In the first case, which began November 24th, 2015 at the request of 9th District Attorney General Russell Johnson, TBI Agents investigated an allegation of Official Misconduct by correction officers in the Morgan County Jail.

Kendrick Street has also been closed due to the work.
