Dense Fog expected to spread across Clarksville-Montgomery County tonight

National Weather ServiceNashville, TN – The National Weather Service (NWS) in Nashville has issued a dense fog advisory for Clarksville-Montgomery County which is in effect until 8:00am CT Tuesday, February 16th.

Dense fog continues to form across Western Tennessee and Western Kentucky and has begun spreading into Western Middle Tennessee this evening. This dense fog is expected to continue spreading east across the mid state through the night and the advisory will likely be expanded eastward with time.

Visibility will be less than 1/4 mile at times where dense fog occurs.

Advisory Information

Visibility: Less than one quarter mile at times.
Impacts: Hazardous driving conditions due to low visibility.

A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving, slow down,  use your headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.

Dickson County, Hickman County, Houston County, Humphreys County, Lewis County, Montgomery County, Perry County, Stewart County, and Wayne County.
