Knoxville, TN – Tennessee is headed to Lexington for the second edition of this year’s border battle with Kentucky. The Vols meet the 14th-ranked Wildcats on Thursday with tipoff from Rupp Arena set for 7:00pm ET/6:00pm CT on ESPN.
Tennessee (12-13, 5-7 SEC) picked up a memorable victory in this season’s first meeting between the two programs, rallying from a 21-point first half deficit to claim an 84-77 win at Thompson-Boling Arena. That victory snapped a two-game losing streak to Kentucky (19-6, 9-3 SEC) and marked one of the largest comeback victories in program history.

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University athletics literally have been family affairs for Dave Luther and Ed Baggett, who will be inducted into the Governors Club Red Coat Society, Saturday.
A reception is scheduled for 2:45pm prior to the 4:00pm women’s game against Murray State and the duo will be honored prior to the Governors-Racers’ 6:30pm game. The Red Coat Society, now in its 13th year, serves as a Hall of Fame of service for the Governors Club, APSU’s Athletics booster club.

Brentwood, TN – Senior guard Tiasha Gray, of the Austin Peay State University women’s basketball team, picked up her third adidas® Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Week honor, Tuesday.
Gray led Austin Peay to an 80-70 victory against league-leading UT Martin, Saturday, scoring 29 points on 10-of-22 shooting.
Clarksville, TN – This March, Austin Peay State University’s premiere choral ensemble – the Chamber Singers – will showcase their talents in Tennessee and Illinois during their 2016 tour. The group will visit local high schools during the day, and they will perform free concerts for members of these local communities.
Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department will be partnering with the Tennessee Governor’s Highway Safety Office for the 2016 Seatbelts Are For Everyone (SAFE) campaign. The SAFE Campaign is designed to increase seat belt and child passenger safety restraint usage in Tennessee.
Law enforcement agencies participate in the campaign by planning and implementing occupant protection initiatives in their communities.

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University head football coach Will Healy has added Joshua Eargle to Austin Peay’s coaching staff. Eargle will serve as offensive line coach and running game coordinator.
Eargle comes to Austin Peay from East Texas Baptist, where in his three seasons as head coach, he turned around a program that won three games in his first season to a share of the conference title in 2015.

Wednesday’s brunch affair will see a Governors team looking to build on its 80-70 upset win of OVC leader UT Martin, Saturday.

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Gas and Water has turned off water service on Ray Drive to replace a fire hydrant near the intersection of Ray Drive and Jack Miller Boulevard. Area residents may also experience low water pressure during the work.
Both roads are open to traffic.

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s Basketball Reunion will be held Saturday, February 20th, the same day the Governors play host to the Murray State Racers.
On the 20-year anniversary, APSU will honor the 1995-95 Governors and Lady Govs basketball teams, who captured Ohio Valley Conference championships that season. Under head coach LaDonna McClain, It was the Lady Govs’ first basketball championship. On the men’s side, it was fourth Governors championship, but first under head coach Dave Loos.
