APSU’s The All State to Host 2016 Southeast Journalism Conference

2016 Southeast Journalism Conference to be hosted by APSUClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University will host the 2016 Southeast Journalism Conference (SEJC) February 18th-20th, 2016. Jake Lowary, APSU student publications adviser/The Leaf-Chronicle News Director, will serve as SEJC President until the 2017 host school is announced during this year’s conference.

The All State (TAS), APSU’s student newspaper, will host many of the activities for the conference. Katelyn Clark, TAS editor-in-chief, will serve as the student president of SEJC for the 2015-16 year.

This is the second time APSU has hosted SEJC in the conference’s 30-year history. The last time APSU hosted SEJC was in 2002.

The conference will bring 300 student journalists from 26 universities across the Southeast to APSU and the Clarksville area.

The All State brought home several awards from last year’s conference, including 4th Best Student Newspaper in the South for the third time in the past five years.
