Austin Peay State University Governors - APSUTroy, AL – Austin Peay State University’s softball team lost a game by inches, Friday, in the opening day of the Trojan Warrior Tournament, as Missouri State’s Sara Jones flared a single just inside the right field line to drive in what turned out to be the game-winning run in a 3-2 loss by the Lady Govs.

APSU Baseball pitcher Michael Costanzo allows one hit in 12-0 rout of Alcorn State

Austin Peay State University Governors - APSUClarksville, TN – Sophomore left hander Michael Costanzo allowed just one hit and struck out 10 and Austin Peay State University’s baseball team downed Alcorn State, 12-0, in the Riverview Inn Governors Challenge, Friday afternoon.

A week after taking a no-hitter into the seventh inning, Costanzo (2-0) got off to a quick start against Alcorn State, retiring the first six batters he faced.

Tennessee State Fire Marshal’s Office, ATF Lead Arson Investigation into Dover Church Fire

 

Public Information Is Being Sought About Possible Arson

Tennessee State Fire MarshalNashville, TN – Agents from the Tennessee State Fire Marshal’s Office (SFMO) Bomb & Arson Section and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives in conjunction with local law enforcement and fire authorities are investigating the potential causes of a fire at a church in Dover on Thursday morning.

Firefighters extinguished a blaze around 5:30am Thursday, February 25th, 2016 at St. Paul United Methodist Church on Natcor Drive. The fire is being investigated as arson but a cause of the fire has not yet been determined. «Read the rest of this article»

Austin Peay State University Governors - APSUClarksville, TN – Eddie Hicks joins the Austin Peay State University football coaching staff as the Governors cornerbacks and nickel defensive backs coach after spending the 2015 season at Murray State.

The Clarksdale, Mississippi native hopes to have found a home after a series of one-season stints around the country during his early coaching life.
