Clarksville, TN – In a continuing quest for law enforcement excellence, the Clarksville Police Department is scheduled for an on-site reaccreditation assessment during the week of March 21st, 2016, to verify that the department meets the state-of –the-art professional standards.
The assessment is part of a voluntary program administered by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA). The accreditation program requires agencies to comply in four basic areas: policy and procedures, administration, operations, and support services.
Agency employees and the public are also invited to offer comments by calling 931.614.5743 on Tuesday, March 22nd, 2016, between the hours of 1:00pm and 3:00pm. Comments will be taken by the Assessment Team.
Telephone comments as well as appearances at the public information session are limited to 10 minutes and must address the agency’s ability to comply with CALEA’s standards.
