Nashville Zoo introduces the Soaring Eagle zip line experience

Nashville ZooNashville, TN – See Nashville Zoo from a new perspective on Soaring Eagle, the Zoo’s newest zip line experience officially opening on Friday, March 18th. The two-seated thrill adventure takes riders on a tree-top trek to see giraffes, zebra, the downtown skyline and much more from 110 ft. in the air.

“Soaring Eagle is the latest design of zip line rides and unlike anything else in Nashville,” said Rick Schwartz, Nashville Zoo president. “We are excited to offer a completely different component to the Zoo visiting experience.”

Located on the Zoo’s Festival Field, Soaring Eagle takes riders in reverse from one end of the field lifting them 110 feet high and 586 feet back before releasing the seat for an exhilarating ride at speeds up to 28 miles per hour back to the starting point.

Areas of the Zoo that riders can see include the African Savannah, Historic Home, Festival Field, Gibbon Islands as well as views across south Nashville to the downtown area.

Soaring Eagle will run daily during the Zoo’s operational hours (9:00am – 6:00pm). Each ride costs $8.00. In April, the Zoo will introduce a $50.00 pass for Zoo members that offers unlimited rides on the Soaring Eagle, the Wild Animal Carousel and the Wilderness Express train for the length of their membership.
