Austin Peay State University Governors - APSUClarksville, TN – Junior starting pitcher Alex Robles struck out a season-high eight batters over seven innings and junior second baseman Garrett Copeland had three hits and scored three times to pace Austin Peay State University’s baseball team to a 6-2 Ohio Valley Conference victory against Murray State, Thursday night at Raymond C. Hand Park.

Clarksville Police respond to Interstate 24 Crash Eastbound near Exit 8

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Currently Clarksville Police Officers are on the scene of a crash on I-24 eastbound near Exit 8. Traffic is backed up to Exit 4. One lane is open. Travelers are advised to avoid this area if at all possible.

Crash details are not available at this time, however, only minor injuries have been reported. The crash occurred at 7:52pm.

“The State Fire Marshal’s Office is on a mission to reduce Tennessee fire injuries and fatalities, and we’re not alone,” said Gary West, TDCI Deputy Commissioner for Fire Prevention.  “Local fire departments and organizations like the Red Cross are outstanding partners that share the common goal of preventing fire loss, but there’s room for more advocates and even more progress.”

APSU Men's TennisClarksville, TN – Needing an additional nonconference match due to three cancellations, APSU men’s tennis team has added a match at Tennessee, April 3rd, at 12:30pm CT.

This will be the first men’s tennis meeting between the Austin Peay State University Governors and Volunteers since 2003, a match UT won 5-0. Tennessee is 6-0 all-time versus APSU, with all six duals occurring in Knoxville, TN.

Motorists Urged to Obey Work Zone Speed Limits Despite Suspension of Construction
