Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – The weekly Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department Recreation Report provides Clarksvillians with a glimpse at the activities and events that are available from the Parks and Recreation Department for them to enjoy together as a family.

This weeks highlights include: Daddy-Daughter Date Night, Indoor Aquatic Center event for toddlers, and New Salsa Dance Class.

2016 Daddy Daughter Date Night

Daddy-Daughter Date Night Tickets on Sale Now

The time is now to purchase your tickets for the 3rd annual Daddy-Daughter Date Night! Clarksville Parks and Recreation is offering a memorable evening for dad and daughter couples on Saturday, April 2nd at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center, 1190 Cumberland Drive, from 6:30pm to 9:30pm.

Daddy-Daughter Date Night is the perfect place for fathers, uncles, grandfathers, and positive male role-models of all kinds to enjoy an evening with their special girl. Games, food, and giveaways will make this a night they won’t forget.

Tickets are $25.00 per couple and $10.00 for each additional daughter. Register online at www.cityofclarksville.com/datenight, by calling 931.645.7476, or in person at the Clarksville Parks and Recreation office, 102 Public Square.

Indoor Aquatic Center to host event just for toddlers!

Don’t miss the next Toddler Splash Pool Party on Wednesday, April 6th. This monthly event for children ages 5-years-old and younger, takes place on the first Wednesday of every month from 10:00am to 12:00pm at the Indoor Aquatic Center, located at 166 Cunningham Lane.

At Toddler Splash, children can enjoy water games, crafts and other seasonal fun. Cost to attend is $3.00 per person, including adults. A parent or adult guardian must accompany toddlers in the water. This event will allow youngsters to enjoy getting acquainted with the water or practicing previously learned water safety skills.

New Salsa Dance Class

It is hard to resist the lively music and hip-swinging movements of the Kleeman Community Center’s newest dance program. In this weekly class, participants, ages 13 and up, are taught simple dance steps and how to combine them to complete the salsa dance.

The next session kicks off April 6th and runs through April 27th. Class meets Wednesdays from 6:00pm-7:00pm. Cost is $7.00 per class or $20.00 for the four-week program.
