Clarksville honors Tyler Barrett with Road Sign

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Today, April 19th, 2016, at 2:00pm, Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan, the Clarksville City Council, CPD Chief Al Ansley, CPD personnel, the Clarksville Streets Department, and Tyler Barrett’s family and friends gathered together at an event to unveil a road sign honoring Tyler Barrett.

Detective Barrett, a long-time officer with the Clarksville Police Department and a dedicated husband, father and public servant, died in November 2015. The sign was installed near the intersection of 41-A at Excell Road.

It was an emotional event as Mayor McMillan and Chief Ansley spoke about Tyler as a friend and his contributions and dedication to the Clarksville Police Department and the City of Clarksville.

Kimberly Barrett, married to Tyler for over 28 years, was overwhelmed and grateful to everyone. She was given a replica of the sign.

The Traffic Unit Motorcycle Patrol was present for Traffic Control.
