“Ive never gotten a ribbon before. I am super excited about it,” said Fucella. “My mother in law had the book and I saw here quilt and I just loved it. I knew at that point I wanted to make one for my daughter. Her name is Jessica.”

“I like that Rivers and Spires puts on the Quilts of the Cumberland show. It’s really a good way to showcase all of the talented people we actually have in the area,” stated Fucella.

Quilts of the Cumberland is always striving to increase their number of quilts each year to make a better, bigger show. They welcome the community to enter or come by for a visit.

“We want to share the love of quilting,” stated Wanda Morrison. “Most quilters like to share what they do and tell about their techniques. I think it’s a fun way to express art in the form of fabric and thread.”

If you missed this year’s exhibit or want to take part, then keep an eye on the Rivers and Spires website for next year’s Quilts of the Cumberland Quilt Show.
