The F.U.E.L. Fundraiser Block Party, which will be held at the CAR office at 115 Center Pointe Drive, will include live entertainment provided by local dance teams, a petting zoo, a Kids Zone with bounce houses.

There will also be demonstrations from the Army Bomb Squad, Army K-9 unit, and appearances from the Clarksville Police Department and Clarksville Fire Rescue, pet adoptions, a silent auction, craft vendors and more. Admission is free, but lunch tickets can be purchased for $5.00 and will include a hamburger/hot dog lunch. Donations will also be accepted at the event.

F.U.E.L. is a food subsidization program designed to feed Clarksville-Montgomery County school children through the weekend whose only food source may be the meals they are receiving at school. Individually wrapped items are discreetly made available to the qualifying students each Friday. The program is funded solely through donations and local fundraising efforts and operated through local churches and civic organizations.

“As Realtors, we enjoy giving back to the community that provides so much for us,” said Valerie Dirks, 2016 Charity Relations Committee Chair. “The need is real here in Montgomery County and for the cost of one ticket, you can feed one child for an entire weekend,” said Dirks.

Because of F.U.E.L nearly 2,000 children in Montgomery County receive food each week. “Without the help of Clarksville Association of Realtors we would not be able to meet the needs of the children we are currently serving in Clarksville,” said Denise Skidmore, F.U.E.L. Founder. To date, the Clarksville Association of Realtors has raised nearly $75,000 for the F.U.E.L. Program.

The public is urged to assist with donations, and are welcome to drop off food items or funds at the Clarksville Association of Realtors office.

The Clarksville Association of Realtors thanks Crabbe Construction for sponsoring the Main Stage, Planter’s Bank for sponsoring the Kids Zone, and Patio sponsor Recer Home Group/Keller Williams Realty.
