Friends support Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library services, programs with Book Sale

Local organization to host members-only sale Thursday, open to public Friday and Saturday

Clarksville-Montgomery County Public LibraryClarksville, TN – The annual Friends of the Library Used Book Sale will begin with a members-only preview sale at the Clarksville-

Montgomery County Public Library this Thursday from 4:00pm to 7:00pm and will open to the public on Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, then continue Saturday from 9:00am to 3:00pm.

While the preview sale is exclusively for members of Friends of the Library, memberships and renewals can be purchased at the door for a donation of at least $5.00.

Proceeds from the sale will be used to support the library and fund library programs.

The Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library provides dozens of programs for children, teens and adults and offers many physical and digital resources for free to cardholders. Friends of the Library is a non-profit organization that supports those efforts through donations and volunteering.

The sale will include hundreds of titles from various genres. Visitors can leave with a handful of books while supporting the services and programs the library brings to the community.

The Cumberland Winds Concert Band will play in the library atrium from 1:00pm to 2:00pm on Saturday during the sale. The free concert will feature pieces for all ages. A large number of musicians who play in a variety of groups make up the band and they aim to enrich the Cumberland River area with musical performances and training.
