Nashville Sounds kick off Eight Game Homestand tonight

Bark in the Park, Peanut Free Night, Pink out the Park Highlight Upcoming Week at Ballpark

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds Baseball Club begins an eight-game homestand on Monday, May 2nd when they welcome the Triple-A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs, the Iowa Cubs, to First Tennessee Park.

Following the four-game series against the Cubs, Nashville is set to welcome the Triple-A affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals, the Memphis Redbirds, for a four-game series from Friday, May 6th – Monday, May 9th.

Below is a preview for each game of the homestand.

Monday, May 2nd

Nashville Sounds vs. Iowa
6:35pm, Gates open at 5:30pm

  • Major League Monday Water Bottle Giveaway presented by 650 AM WSM (First 2,000 Fans).
  • AASC Peanut Free Night Presented by the Allergy, Asthma & Sinus Center.

Tuesday, May 3rd

Wednesday, May 4th

  • Noon Bash in Nash presented by ESPN 102.5 The Game – catch Sounds baseball at high noon!

Thursday, May 5th

6:35pm, Gates open at 5:30pm

  • Throwback Thursday presented by iHeartMedia – the Sounds will wear throwback jerseys to commemorate the team’s original uniform style from 1978. Fans can purchase Coca-Cola fountain soda, domestic draft beers and 12oz. cans for $2.00 each. Bud and Bud Light 16oz. cans and import and craft draft beer can be purchased for $3.00 each.

Friday, May 6th

6:35pm, Gates open at 5:30pm

  • FOX17 post-game fireworks presented by Koorsen Fire & Security.

Saturday, May 7th

6:35pm, Gates open at 5:30pm

  • Pink out the Park for Breast Cancer Awareness – The first 5,000 fans will receive a pink Sounds T-Shirt presented by First Tennessee, Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center and Middle Tennessee Hyundai Dealers. In addition, the Sounds will wear special pink jerseys that will be auctioned during the game to benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

Sunday, May 8th

Nashville Sounds vs. Memphis
2:05pm, Gates open at 1:00pm

  • Mother’s Day Celebration presented by Gildan featuring pampering for all moms in attendance in our outfield plaza area under the scoreboard.
  • Pre-game autograph session with select Sounds players 1:15pm-1:30pm.
  • Military Sunday presented by Piedmont Natural Gas, Tennessee 811 and WSMV Channel 4 – the Sounds will wear camouflage jerseys to honor active/veteran military men, women & families.
  • Post-game Kids Run the Bases (12 & under) presented by First Tennessee.

Monday, May 9th

  • Major League Monday Sounds & Hounds Pet Calendar Giveaway presented by 650 AM WSM (First 2,000 Fans).
  • Bark in the Park Night – Four-legged friends are welcome to First Tennessee Park as tickets start at $14.00 ($9.00 for human; $5.00 for dog). A portion of all dog tickets will be donated to Retrieving Independence, a Brentwood-based charity organization that breeds, trains, and places top quality service dogs with children and adults living with physical and mental disabilities.
