Nashville, TN – Bryan Anderson clubbed a grand slam and Daniel Mengden tossed five scoreless innings to lead the Nashville Sounds to a convincing 10-0 win over the Reno Aces in front of a sellout crowd of 10,073 Friday night at First Tennessee Park.
The seventh inning slam for Anderson was his second home run of the season and the first grand slam by a Sounds (69-51) player at First Tennessee Park. It came after singles by Matt Olson, Renato Nunez and Matt McBride.

Montgomery County, TN – The Tennessee Highway Patrol and the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting a sobriety roadside safety checkpoint on Friday, August 19th, 2016 on Highway 48 south of Hawkins Road in Montgomery County.
Impaired driving is a serious crime that kills more than 16,000 people and injures 305,000 others, every year, in the United States. Troopers, deputies, and officers will evaluate drivers for signs of alcohol impairment. Troopers, deputies, and officers will target those who operate a vehicle while impaired and take corrective actions for other violations observed, while ensuring the protection of all motorists.

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Gas and Water has turned off water service on Franklin Street between Seventh Street and Eighth Street to repair a water main leak.
The water outage will affect residents on Franklin Street. Low water pressure may also affect area residents until the leak is repaired.
Clarksville, TN – Clarksville artist Brandt Hardin is seeking the help of local fans and art lovers to make his new book, Zombie Walk of Fame a reality.
The campaign to publish his collection of art will be running on the crowd-funding website KickStarter through the first week of September. He will have 30 days for donors to fund the publication of his book.
