Oklahoma City, OK – Renato Nunez knocked in five runs for the Nashville Sounds in a thrilling 10-7 win over the Oklahoma City Dodgers in game one of the American Conference Finals Wednesday night at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.
Nashville raced out to a 6-0 lead thanks in part to a three-run homer from Nunez in the opening frame. They chased rehabbing Scott Kazmir from the game after the southpaw hit two batters, walked a pair and allowed the home run.

Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans and Minnisota Vikings have met just 12 times in the regular season. The Vikings lead the series 8-4, including wins by the Vikings in the last four meetings at Mall of America Field.
The Titans and Vikings have opened the regular season against each other on one prior occasion. In 1989, the Vikings hosted and defeated the then-Oilers on Kickoff Weekend by a final score of 38-7. It was the first of 10 victories during the regular season for the eventual NFC Central Champion Vikings.

Nashville, TN – A man who was added to the TBI’s “Top 10 Most Wanted” list yesterday is now in custody. Stephen Maurice Mobley turned himself in to officers with the Chattanooga Police Department Wednesday morning.
Mobley, also known as “Dollar”, was wanted by the Chattanooga Police Department and TBI in connection to a deadly shooting that occurred on Monday.
Clarksville, TN – Earlier this summer, the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science (ASCLS) named Dr. Perry Scanlan, Austin Peay State University professor of allied health sciences, as one of the recipients of its prestigious Voices Under 40 award.

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Gas and Water has turned off water service on Powell Road from Amberley Road to the end of Powell Road to repair a water main leak.
The water outage will also affect the Riverbend Landing subdivision residents on East Accipiter Circle, West Accipiter Circle, Piter Road and Colin Court.
The work is anticipated to be finished and water service restored by approximately 1:00pm.
Montgomery County, TN – Montgomery County Government will once again display the Pillars of Hope exhibit at the Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the September 11th, 2001 events.
This collection of hand painted ceramic tiles was designed to be mini-memorials honoring the heroes of 9/11.
