Fort Campbell’s BACH to offer immunizations and health information at Retiree Appreciation Day event
Fort Campbell, KY – Eligible retirees and their family members with a valid DoD ID card will have an opportunity to receive three immunizations during Fort Campbell’s Soldiers and Families for Life Appreciation Week’s final day, September 24th, culminating the week-long activities.
Blanchfield Army Community Hospital’s medical team will be available at the Soldier Support Center from 1:00pm to 5:00pm to talk one-on-one about health promotion opportunities with retirees and their family members as well as provide the shingles, pneumonia, and influenza vaccines.

Charleston, IL – Fresh off a bye week, the Austin Peay State football team returns to action with its first Ohio Valley Conference road trip of the season at No. 16/18 Eastern Illinois at 1:00pm Saturday, September 24th at O’Brien Field.
Saturday’s game marks the 16th meeting between the two programs with a series history dating back to 1958.

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University women’s soccer team opens its Ohio Valley Conference season, 6:00pm, Thursday, at Morehead State.
The Governors (5-4-0) and Eagles (3-5-1) will be the first match to kick-off the 2016 conference schedule. In last weekend’s matches, APSU suffered a 4-1 loss against an undefeated TCU team, Friday, then rebounded at home to edge out Chattanooga 3-2, Sunday.

11th Annual “FROLIC ON FRANKLIN: A Celebration of the Arts” to be held this Saturday, September 24th
Clarksville, TN – Historic Downtown Clarksville is gearing up for the 11th Annual “FROLIC ON FRANKLIN: A Celebration of the Arts” on Saturday, September 24th, from 8:30am to 3:30pm. This free event will showcase the works of more than 30 artists, staged entertainment and art demonstrations — all along the 100 block of historic Franklin Street.
A variety of original fine art, as well as handmade crafts, will be on display including paintings and photography, jewelry, clay garden items, woodwork, purses and scarves, pottery, candles, jewelry, woven and knitted items, and seasonal gifts. Items will be for sale with prices ranging from $2.00 to $500.00.

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce presents artist Miranda Herrick as the speaker at its Women in Business luncheon on Tuesday, October 11th. The event begins at 11:30am and will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn, 290 Alfred Thun Road.
Herrick was born in Vicenza, Italy in 1977. Her father’s military career took her family many places before they settled in Clarksville in the early 1990’s.

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Gas and Water has turned off water service on Old Ashland City Road to repair a water main leak.
The water outage will include Martha Lane, Alma Lane, Redbud Lane and Circle Drive. Area residents may also experience low water pressure during the work.
The repair is anticipated to be finished and water service restored by approximately 11:30am.
Nashville, TN – There have been 48 all-time regular season and postseason games between the Tennessee Titans and Oakland Raiders organizations, two of the original eight members of the American Football League.
The rivalry has been filled with historically significant contests, including their very first match up. On September 11th, 1960, the Houston Oilers defeated the Raiders 37-22 in the first game of either franchise’s existence.
The Raiders currently hold a 28-20 advantage in the series, including a 4-0 mark against the Titans in postseason play. They have met in an AFL Playoff Game (1969), an AFL Championship Game (1967), an AFC Wild Card Game (1980) and most recently the 2002 AFC Championship Game.
