Austin Peay State University Women’s Golf hosts F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate at Greystone Golf Club

APSU Women's Golf - Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University women’s golf will host the annual F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate, with the 36-hole event scheduled for an 11:30am, Monday, start from Greystone Golf Club in Dickson, Tennessee.

This will be Austin Peay’s first time hosting at Greystone, but head coach Sara Robson has some familiarity with the course, having coached the Governors when Greystone was the site of the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament from 2010-13.

The course will play as a 6,037-yard par-72 this week, including a mammoth 511-yard par-5 No. 2.

The seven-team field will be comprised of Austin Peay, Belmont, Tennessee State, Dayton, Southern Illinois, North Carolina A&T and Rend Lake.

Monday’s start will be fixed-hole, with all teams going off No. 1; Tuesday’s 8:00am start is slated to be a shotgun start.

APSU Women's Golf - Taylor GoodleyThe Governors hope to continue their recent run of incredible performances, having posted the top four 54-hole team scores in program history in their last four tournaments. Robson’s squad will lean heavily on sophomore Taylor Goodley, who has been Austin Peay’s best finisher in each tournament this fall—she’s coming off an 11th-place finish last week at the MVC Preview in Cape Girardeau.

Senior Morgan Kauffman and junior AnnaMichelle Moore slot in at No. 2 and 3 for the Govs week—Kauffman in particular looks to build on her season’s best showing and closed out with an even-par over her final eight holes last week at Dalhousie.

APSU Women's Golf - Morgan KauffmanSophomore Ashton Goodley and senior Kelsey Schutt round out the Governors lineup this week; Goodley was the Governors No. 2 finisher in their first two tournaments in 2016, while Schutt is back in the lineup again after competing as the individual last week.

Freshman Meghann Stamps and senior Amber Bosworth also will compete for the Governors as individuals this week. Stamps got her first action in the starting lineup a week ago at Dalhousie.

The Governors will get a well-earned respite following the home tournament before turning their attention to the fall’s final competition—October 22nd-23rd at the Winthrop Intercollegiate in Rock Hill, South Carolina.
