Four accept Plea Agreement in Clarksville Cocaine Operation case

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department reports that on October 6th, 2016, Tyrone Hoosier, Christopher Hoosier, Jamesthon Griffin and Nimmond Lee accepted a plea agreement to the charge of Conspiracy to Distribute over 300 grams of cocaine within Montgomery County.

As part of the agreement, each will serve 15 years in the Tennessee Department of Corrections.

Clarksville Police Department Training Scenario set for this Friday, October 21st

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – This Friday, October 21st, 2016, the Clarksville Police Department’s Tact Team and Negotiators will be conducting a joint training scenario at the old Jenkins and Wynn building on College Street from 9:00am to approximately 1:00pm.

It will appear to the public that the teams will be responding to an actual incident. Signs designating the area as a temporary training site will be placed near the training scenario.

APSU Football - Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University football team will step out of Ohio Valley Conference action to host Mercer for Saturday’s Homecoming contest with kickoff set for 4:00pm.

Austin Peay is 0-6 overall and 0-5 in the OVC after a 34-14 loss at No. 3 Jacksonville State.

Mercer comes into the contest at 3-3 overall and 2-2 in the Southern Conference after topping Western Carolina 38-24 in their last game.

Clarksville Gas and Water reports Trenton Road Lane Closure

Clarksville Gas and Water Department - CGWClarksville, TN – Clarksville Gas and Water has closed a section of the northbound lane of Trenton Road between Wilma Rudolph Boulevard and Hayes Street for water service line repair.

Flaggers will guide traffic around the work zone; however, motorists may wish to seek an alternate route to avoid traffic congestion.

The work is anticipated to be finished and the lane reopened by approximately 11:30am.
