Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s volleyball team will make a quick visit to the Dunn Center, Tuesday, before wrapping up the road portion of its 2016 schedule during Week 10 of the season.
First, the Governors host Alabama A&M in a 5:30pm, Tuesday contest.
Austin Peay then returns to the road for a pair of Ohio Valley Conference contests facing UT Martin in a 6:00pm, Friday contest before meeting Southeast Missouri in a 5:00pm, Saturday affair.The Governors enter the week needing just one win to clinch a berth in the upcoming OVC Volleyball Championship.
Austin Peay also remains in the race for the OVC regular-season title, sitting just one win behind league-leading Murray State with three weeks of play remaining.

A Rotation of Knowledge
Stucker The Stage Setter
Sophomore Kristen Stucker has elevated her play over the past two weeks and the Govs have followed her lead. She has averaged 11 assists per set and the Govs have posted a .284 attack percentage over the last five matches, moving atop the OVC rankings for the season
Taff Pieces Together Big Week
Sophomore Kaylee Taff had a big hand in the offense last week, leading the Govs in kills (37, 2.85 per set) and blocks (11, 0.85 per set) during the week’s five matches. She recorded double-digit kills in three straight matches for the first time this season.
Win and In
When the Govs return to Ohio Valley Conference play this weekend, they know a victory will be enough to place them in the OVC Volleyball Championship on their own.
Govs Still Streaking
Despite last week’s loss at Belmont, Austin Peay continues to set a torrid pace, winning 13 of its last 15 matches.
Twenty in Sight
The Govs recent winning ways have put them in sight of their first 20-win campaign since 2010. It would be their 11th 20-win season all time.
Among the Nation’s Most Improved
Entering this weekend’s action, Austin Peay is the 4th most-improved club in Division I, its 18-8 record an 11½-game improvement over last season’s 6-19 mark at the same time.
