2016 APSU Homecoming King and Queen Crowned

Austin Peay State University Sports - APSU - Governors - Lady GovsClarksville, TN – On Saturday, October 22nd Austin Peay State University announced the 2016 APSU Homecoming Court and crowned Homecoming King and Queen during halftime at the Governors football game against Mercer at Fortera Stadium.

Ilyana Capellan a communications major was crowned Homecoming Queen. Capellan from Aliso Viejo, CA was sponsored by Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. She was escorted by her cousin Rico Gardner.

Political Science major Lane Chisenhall from Knoxville, TN was crowned Homecoming King. Chisenhall was sponsored by Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. He was escorted by his mother, Beth Chisenhall.

Homecoming is a time to show support for the Austin Peay Football team and to celebrate school spirit.

The Homecoming Court is made up of five men and five women elected by Austin Peay students. Those 10 people are then interviewed to decide the King and Queen.

The 2016 APSU Homecoming Court are the following:

Biology major Annie Goldman from Knoxville, TN was sponsored by Alpha Delta Pi Sorority and escorted by her boyfriend Dominik Shannon.

Communications major Celeste Malone from Murfreesboro, TN was sponsored by Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and escorted by her father Ron Malone.

Elementary Education major Brandi Phillips from Woodlawn, TN was sponsored by Chi Omega Women’s Fraternity and escorted by her father Mack Phillips.

Healthcare Management major Mackenzie Spivey from Cornersville, TN was sponsored by Alpha Omicron Pi Women’s Fraternity and escorted by her father Billy Spivey.

Healthcare Managment major Bennett Evans from Clarksville, TN was sponsored by Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Society and escorted by her mother Dr. Sue Evans.

Management and Marketing major Alex Felts from Greenbrier, TN was sponsored by Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity and escorted by his friend Maranda Rorie.

Communications major Ben Goodman from Union City, TN was sponsored by the Baptist Collegiate Ministry and escorted by BCM President Mallori Conley.

Communications major Aristeo Riuz from Colorado Springs, CO was sponsored by Kappa Alpha Order and escorted by his mother Lisa Ruiz.
