Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department reports a driver was killed and a passenger was seriously injured when a 2014 red Chevrolet Camaro left the roadway in a curve on Tiny Town Road, striking a mailbox and a tree shortly after midnight on Saturday, October 29th.
First responders were dispatched at 12:08am to the single vehicle collision on Tiny Town Road near the Green Acres Drive junction. The first district patrol officer arrived at 12:10am.
Passenger Maurquel McCottry, 19, of Clarksville was transported to Tennova Medical Center before being sent to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in stable condition.
The driver, Darryl H. Shuler, 24, of Clarksville was deceased at the scene. Next-of-kin have been notified.
Speed, alcohol, and controlled substances are being considered as contributing factors. Investigator Bill Van Beber is working the incident.
