Tennessee Vols roll over Tennessee Tech 55-0Tennessee AthleticsTennessee posted its largest margin of victory since a 63-7 victory over Western Kentucky in 2009.
The Volunteers (6-3) piled up 471 yards of total offense, including a season-best 379 yards in the first half and recorded their first shutout since a 24-0 victory in last year’s homecoming game on November 14th against North Texas. Tennessee State Fire Marshal says Check Smoke Alarms When Changing Clocks
“As Daylight Saving Time comes to an end, we encourage citizens to use the extra hour gained to change the batteries in their smoke alarms,” said State Fire Marshal and Commerce & Insurance Commissioner Julie Mix McPeak. “In addition, we remind Tennesseans that any smoke alarm 10 years old or older should be replaced entirely.”

Ashley Slay named APSU Athlete of the Week for November 3rd, 2016APSU Sports Information
For the second time in 2016, Slay earned adidas® / Ohio Valley Conference Offensive Player of the Week, this time for hitting over .400 in three Governor victories. The Nashville Tennessee native opened the week with seven kills against Alabama A&M but saved her best for the OVC slate, posting 16 kills against UT Martin, Friday, and her season’s second 22-kill performance in Saturday’s five-set comeback win against Southeast Missouri.
