Austin Peay State University Basketball reunion set for January 21st

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University athletics and the University Alumni Association will host the annual APSU Basketball Reunion, Saturday, January 21st, ahead of the doubleheader against Murray State.

This year’s reunion will highlight the 1963-64 men’s basketball team, as well as celebrate the 30^th anniversary of the 1987 men’s basketball team that won the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament and beat Illinois in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

The weekend begins at Overtime Sports Bar and Grill, 6:30pm-8:00pm, Friday, January 20th, with a mix and mingle open to all Governor basketball alumni to celebrate the 1987 OVC Championship.

Saturday’s festivities tip off with a 10:00am brunch in the Dunn Center front lobby, with alumni invited to view the shootaround for the women (11:00am) and men (1:00pm) before tip-off against the Racers—4:00pm for the women’s contest, 6:30pm for the men. Non-basketball alumni can attend the brunch for $10.00.

All basketball alumni in attendance will be recognized on-court between games, while the 1987 team will be recognized during the men’s game.
