Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services administering multi-agency, collaborative plan to improve services for the homeless
Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (TDMHSAS), in partnership with both the U.S. and Tennessee Interagency Councils on Homelessness, today released an action plan to end chronic homelessness in the Volunteer State.
The collaborative plan brings together multiple federal, state, county, and local government agencies, and community partners providing a systematic approach to help eliminate homelessness over the next 10 years.

Clarksville, TN – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in locating two suspects involved in a kidnapping that occurred in the 2400 block of Ramblewood Drive.
The female victim states on the night of January 4th, 2017, and unknown black male held her at gunpoint while her boyfriend, Anthony Keith Atkins, 28, bound her hands with a cord. The two men forced her into a car at gunpoint and drove to a residence near Hadley Drive, where Atkins dropped off the black male suspect.

In their most recent action, the Vols (8-6, 1-1 SEC) suffered an 82-78 defeat at the hands of Arkansas on Tuesday night. Robert Hubbs III scored a game-high 21 points and Grant Williams chipped in with his first career double-double (15 points, 11 rebounds), but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Razorbacks, who shot nearly 54 percent from the floor during the second half at Thompson-Boling Arena.

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Gas and Water construction workers are repairing a water main leak on Chesterfield Drive resulting in low water pressure for area residents.
The water main repair is anticipated to be finished and water service fully restored to normal by approximately 12:00pm.

Nashville, TN – The National Weather Service in Nashville has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Clarksville-Montgomery County and most of Middle Tennessee today for two rounds of snow this morning and later this evening.
It is currently snowing in Clarksville-Montgomery County. Roads have already become covered.
The temperature is currently 16 degrees with a high today near 22 degrees. There is a 40 percent chance of snow until noon.
