Clarksville Police catch Burglar in the Act

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Monday, April 3rd, 2017, around 11:12pm, Clarksville Police Officers responded to an alarm call at a business located at the 2800 block of Wilma Rudolph Boulevard. There was allegedly a female inside of the closed business.

After a manager arrived on scene to unlock the building, officers made entry into the business and located a female (Jessica C. Brown, Shelby Drive, Clarksville, TN) inside of the business.

Officers also found a bag with several items inside of it which had the tags and anti-theft devices removed; officers found a pair of pliers in Ms Brown’s possession. 

Based on the investigation, it was determined Ms Brown had remained inside of the business after it had closed and was attempting to take over $2700 worth of merchandise from the store.  She was transported and booked into the Montgomery County Jail and charged with Burglary and Possession of Tools to Interfere with Anti-Theft Security Devices.

The lead investigator is Officer Ronald Brown Jr.
