Clarksville Police makes Public Aware of Suspicious Activity

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Thursday, April 13th, 2017 at approximately 8:48am, Clarksville Police Officers responded to the area of 400 Market Street/ E Street in reference to suspicious activity.

Witnesses said a white male with dark hair and a mustache in a black Hummer H2, with a Tennessee license plate, J3493K, attempted to get a 7 year old child in the vehicle at E Street and Market Street, while the child was waiting at the bus stop.

He pulled up, waved and then motioned with his finger, for the child to come to him. The child ran away, going down Market Street and the man followed him in the vehicle.

The vehicle was last seen turning onto Rainbow Street.

The witnesses believe the man driving the vehicle lives in the neighborhood. 

Officers canvassed the neighborhood and found two black Hummer H2s vehicles which matched the description, but the tags did not match the suspect’s vehicle.

CPD wanted to make the public aware of the incident.
