Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s Almantas Ozelis was named the Ohio Valley Conference’s men’s tennis player of the week as announced by the league office Wednesday.
He and teammate Aleh Drobysh paired up to take a 6-3 win at No. 1 doubles as the Govs went onto clinch the doubles point in the match.
He followed up with a come from behind 4-6, 6-1, 6-1 win in his No. 1 singles match as the Govs went on to take the match 4-3.
The win helped secure a spot in the OVC Championship as the No. 5 seed. APSU will open the tournament against No. 4 Belmont Friday, April 21st at the Centennial Sportsplex Tennis Center in Nashville Tennessee.
