City of Clarksville swears in Seven new Firefighters

 

Group fills vacancies left by recent retirements, promotions

City of Clarksville - Clarksville, TNClarksville, TN – On Friday, May 12th, 2017 Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan administered the oath to seven new Clarksville Fire Rescue firefighters who recently completed six weeks of initial training at the Tennessee Fire Service Academy.

The oath and pinning ceremony was attended by several dozen spouses, children and family members who cheered the firefighters into their new careers.

Deputy Fire Chief Ray Williams, left, Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan and Fire Chief Mike Roberts joined to welcome seven new firefighters to Clarksville Fire Rescue on Friday, May 12th. The new firefighers are Brooklyn Lyle, Robert Bruce, Josh Banker, Luke Culwell, Sean Humphries, Ja’Kyari Jenkins and Michael Johns.

Clarksville Police reports Two People arrested for Saturday’s Aggravated Robbery

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department was looking for two people in connection to a Saturday robbery.

The persons of interest were located and taken in custody by Nashville Metro Police Department and have been transported and charged in connection with the robbery of a 35 year old woman in Clarksville.

On Sunday, May 14th, 2017 Detective Reed responded to an especially aggravated robbery at the dead end of North Edgewood Drive.

APSU BaseballNashville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s baseball team pitcher Landon Kelly tossed five scoreless in his first collegiate start and infielder Max Remy delivered a tie-breaking base hit in the 11th inning as the Governors won an extra-inning affair, 3-2, against Lipscomb, Tuesday afternoon at Ken Dugan Field.

CMCSS announces Loralee F. BeCraft new Montgomery Central Elementary School principal

She replaces Nancy Grant who is retiring after 32 years as principal.

Civil War medical instruments, medicines on display Saturday at Fort Defiance

Clarksville Police are looking for Missing Person Frank Broadbent

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police request public help locating a missing adult, Frank Broadbent, 83, who may currently be in the Nashville area. He left his house in Clarksville around 4:00am this morning.

He is in early stages of dementia and has not left the home like this before. Based on a cell phone ping this morning around 7:30am, he was around the Winford Avenue area in South Nashville.

Turner comes to APSU after spending a year at Trevecca Nazarene playing indoor where she saw action in 13 matches.
