APSU Women's VolleyballClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University Volleyball team concludes its nine-match road trip at the Dolphin Invitational, Friday-Saturday, in Jacksonville, Florida on the campus of North Florida now boasting an 8-2 record after the season’s first three weeks.

Clarksville Police charge Jordan Hazel with Three Counts of Homicide

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Thursday, September 14th, 2017, around 9:30pm, Jordan M. Hazell, 27, was booked into the Montgomery County Jail and charged with Three Counts of Homicide.

When CPD officers arrived on the scene at 221 Mills Drive around 10:48am, Jordan Hazel was detained outside of the residence and transported to the Special Operations Unit and interviewed by Detective McClintock.

Tennessee Army National Guard Blackhawk Helicopters head to Virgin Islands

 

Tennessee Army National GuardNashville, TN – Four UH-60L Blackhawk helicopters and 34 Soldiers assigned to the 1/230th Aviation Regiment, Tennessee Army National Guard, are headed to the US Virgin Islands to assist in recovery efforts following Hurricane Irma.

The helicopters were loaded onto C17 Globemaster III and C130 Hercules aircraft from New York and Rhode Island at Joint Base Berry Field late Wednesday afternoon.

“That’s what the National Guard does,” said Maj. Gen. Max Haston, Tennessee Adjutant General.

APSU Football takes on Morehead State at home Saturday

APSU FootballClarksville, TN – After hanging tough with back-to-back FBS opponents, the Austin Peay State University football team returns home to take on Morehead State. Kickoff is slated for 6:00pm, Saturday at Fortera Stadium.

Despite falling just short in their two opening contests, the Govs’ defense has positioned itself as one of the top units in all of FCS.

BACH team offers immunizations and health information at Retiree Appreciation Day event

 

Blanchfield Army Hospital - BACH - Fort Campbell KYFort Campbell, KY – Blanchfield Army Community Hospital will conduct a Military Retiree Health Fair at Fort Campbell’s Soldier Support Center, Bldg. 2702, September 30th from 8:00am to 2:00pm in conjunction with the installation Retiree Appreciation Day activities.

According to BACH’s Military Retiree Health Fair coordinator, Sgt. 1st Class Scott Johnson, retirees can learn more about Tricare benefits, ophthalmology and optometry, physical therapy, occupational therapy, pharmacy services and wellness initiatives and talk one-on-one about health promotion opportunities for retirees and their family members at the event.

APSU Soccer - Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TN – Coming off consecutive shutouts, Austin Peay State University women’s soccer team plays its first two Ohio Valley Conference games beginning 3:00pm, Friday at Eastern Kentucky and 2:00pm, Sunday at Belmont.

The Govs are on a two-game winning streak heading into this weekend’s matches and look to extend their 198 successive shutout minutes.

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – The Citizens Police Academy Alumni provided the perfect kickoff for Child Passenger Safety Week 2017 by generously donating $1,000 worth of child safety seats to the Clarksville Police Department.

According to National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) statistics car crashes are the leading cause of death for children. Every 33 seconds in 2015, one child under the age of 13 was involved in a crash.

Clarksville Police investigate Triple Homicide on Mills Drive

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On September 14th, 2017, around 10:48am, Clarksville Police officers responded to a possible shooting at the 200 Block of Mills Drive.

When officers arrived and entered the residence, they found an adult female in her 20s and two children deceased inside of the residence. They appeared to have sustained gunshot wounds.
