Nia Gibbs-Francis to represent Austin Peay State University, OVC at NCAA Leadership Forum

Austin Peay State University Sports - APSU - Governors - Lady GovsClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University junior Nia Gibbs-Francis will represent the school and the Ohio Valley Conference at the 2017 NCAA Student-Athlete Leadership Forum in Washington, D.C.

Each Division I and Division II conference selects student-athletes from active member institutions to represent the conference at the forum. For the OVC, Gibbs-Francis and Belmont’s Caleb Corprew will represent the league.

“I hope to network with a lot of different people and see what other schools are doing and see what we can implement,” Gibbs-Francis said. “I want to get new ideas about leadership to become a more effective leader.”

Clarksville-Montgomery County area TDOT Maintenance Work starting September 28th, 2017

 

Tennessee Department of Transportation - TDOTNashville, TN – The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) reports that in Montgomery County resurfacing on Madison Street (SR 112) from Richview Road (SR 374) to University Avenue (L.M. 9.44-L.M. 13.66) daily from 6:00pm until 6:00am.

There will be a temporary lane closure on Madison Street to perform milling and paving operations.

The Govs have notched back-to-back wins (Morehead State, Murray State) for the first time since 2011, while the Skyhawks have posted consecutive wins over ranked opponents (No. 15 Chattanooga, No. 20 Tennessee State) for the first time program history.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is looking for Two Suspects in Kidnapping, Assault, and Robbery case

 

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in locating two suspects wanted for aggravated kidnapping, aggravated assault, and robbery.

On September 23rd, 2017, Kelly Ceiborn Halliburton and Adam Wayne Felts entered a home in the 200 block of Oak Plains Road. Halliburton and Felts demanded $800.00 from a female resident. When she was unable to produce the money, they robbed, assaulted, and forcibly removed her from the residence.

Kelly Halliburton and Adam Felts are wanted for Kidnapping, Assault, and Robbery by the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office.

APSU Athletics announces Under Armour to be official outfitter for the Governors

Austin Peay State University Sports - APSU - Governors - Lady GovsClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University and Under Armour, Inc. (NYSE: UA) announced a new partnership agreement, Wednesday, September 28th, 2017. The Baltimore-based global leader in performance footwear, apparel and equipment will become the official outfitter of Governors beginning Friday.

As part of the multi-year agreement, Under Armour will provide on-field and training gear for the department’s 16 NCAA Division I intercollegiate teams. Additionally, Under Armour will outfit members of the athletic department including coaches and staff.

F&M Bank Blood Drive to be held October 2nd
