From 4:00pm–5:00pm, high school choirs from Northeast, Clarksville Academy and West Creek will share their talent with the crowd on the courthouse steps while awaiting the annual Clarksville Christmas Parade which begins at 5:00pm.

Back at the Downtown Commons, there will be more music including the 101st Airborne Band, and free hot chocolate and cookies. Popcorn will also be provided by Century 21 Platinum Properties. Coffee and cider will be available for sale and Art Link will be there to offer some painting fun for all who are interested.

Directly following the parade, the annual lighting of the County Christmas tree will take place at the Downtown Commons main stage. Following the lighting of the tree, Santa and his sleigh will be on site to hear requests for Christmas presents, take photos, and hand out candy.

“We are excited about moving some of our traditional Christmas activities to the Downtown Commons this year. It provides the community with an additional opportunity to experience the festivities of the season and see the new outdoor skating rink,” said Durrett.

These activities paired with a great meal from one of several downtown restaurants and some ice skating will provide a memorable experience for those who participate.
