New Comedy “All is Merry and Bright” opens at Cumberland Arts Centre December 8th

Cumberland Arts Centre Dinner Theatre - Clarksville, TNClarksville, TN – A new, original comedy, “All is Merry and Bright” by local playwright, Chad Williamson, opens this weekend at the Cumberland Arts Centre Dinner Theatre.

This is Williamson’s second Christmas play written for the Cumberland Arts Centre. His first play, A Christmas to Remember, was produced by CAC in 2015.

This current play centers around a recently widowed woman, played by Clarksville’s own, Linda Ellis Cunningham, trying to make it through the holidays, when her best friend, played by veteran actress, Kathy Watts, brings 2 escaped convicts to her home to hide out.

The Christmas Eve is also interrupted by her nosy neighbor, played by local favorite, Jan Dial, and a group of off-key carolers, played by Alex Syler, Amy Snider and Bill Colclough. The two convicts are played by Jeff Wellington and Alex Maynard. And an unsuspecting pizza delivery boy is played by Scott Swan.

All is Merry and Bright will be playing on December 8th, 9th, 15th and 16th. Dinner entrée choices are turkey and dressing or cherry glazed ham.

Reservations must be made by calling 931.552.1106. Doors open at 6:00pm with dinner served at 6:30pm and show starting at 7:30pm.
