The meet will mark the season debut for much of Austin Peay’s pole vault contingent.

Juniors Savannah Amato and Dascha Hix, along with senior Gretchen Rosch, will make their season debuts in Carbondale—Amato and Hix have medaled in both indoor and outdoor competition the last two seasons, while Rosch has been tantalizingly close to giving the Govs a clean sweep of the podium.

Freshman Lennex Walker looks to build on a strong debut last week at Vanderbilt. She’ll compete in the long jump, the triple jump, the 200m dash and 60m hurdles this week—she placed 11th in the 60m hurdles last week and also placed in the top-25 in the 200m.

Joining junior Nia Gibbs-Francis in the high jump this week will be freshman Denia Hill-Tate—Gibbs-Francis was 13th last week and the addition of Hill-Tate should bolster the Governors jump squad.

In sprint action, the Govs will look for good performances from sophomore Diamond Battle (60m, 200m), Garielle Netter (60m, 200m), Allysha Scott (200m, 400m), Tymeitha Tolbert (600m, 200m), Nysia Saines (200m, 400m) and others.

After this meet, the Govs will take nearly a month off before resuming the indoor campaign at Tennessee State’s Ed Temple Classic, January 6th, in Nashville Tennessee
