Clarksville, TN – Clarksville say at on Monday, December 18th, 2017 around 5:45pm, a Hyundai driven by a man in his 50s was traveling west on the 41A Bypass when a male pedestrian in his 60s was crossing the 41A Bypass near Old Ashland City Road.
The pedestrian was struck when he walked into the path of the oncoming vehicle.
It was brought to the district’s attention that there were inconsistencies in the process regarding student meal charges and how they are managed.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Clarksville Police Department and Bikers Who Care hold Secret Santa Money Giveaway
Clarksville, TN – The Christmas spirit was in full force over the weekend as Bikers Who Care (BWC) partnered with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) and Clarksville Police Department to pass out Christmas cash to unsuspecting residents.
Deputy Ryan Wright, Deputy Brooke Sinitiere, Officer Pete Millan and Officer Alex Koziol, along with a team of men from BWC distributed $4000 to citizens on Saturday. They stopped motorist or shoppers and presented them with $100.00 each in cash.
Clarksville, TN – Investigators with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect responsible for two armed robberies at two local businesses.
The first incident occurred at the Dollar General Market at 5425 Ashland City Road on December 14th, 2017 at 9:00pm.
A masked suspect is seen on video surveillance entering the store carrying a firearm and rock. He uses the rock to keep the automatic doors open while demanding money from the cashier.
Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department reports three out of the four of the driving under the influence arrests over the weekend involved vehicle crashes.
The driver in the fourth DUI arrest narrowly missed crashing into three vehicles and hit a curb blowing out two of the vehicle’s tires before stopping.
Clarksville-Montgomery County continues to have Third Lowest Gas Prices in Tennessee
Nashville, TN – The December discounts keep flowing at the pump. Gas prices have declined for 5 consecutive weeks, as refineries flood the market with more gasoline than is consumed.
This helped prices return to levels not seen since August 30th, when gas prices surged in response to Hurricane Harvey’s impact on Gulf Coast refineries.

It was the final game of the 2007 season. The Governors seemingly had the road contest in hand, leading 17-10 at Murray State late into the fourth quarter after forcing eight turnovers.
But the Racers avoided mistakes for one of the few times all day and drove 80 yards to tie the game with a little more than two minutes left. The home team certainly would have the momentum if overtime occurred, especially with some of the Govs’ offensive personnel hampered by injury.
Clarksville, TN – Saturday afternoon at the Fort Defiance Civil War Park and Interpretive Center a small group gathered to watch Mark Britton talk about Civil War era doctors, the tools, medicines, and methods they used.
“I’m not a doctor, but I could have been in the 19th century,” Britton said. “I’ve only been collecting and studying medical supplies and procedures for the last 10 to 12 years, but I have always been a fan of history, all types of history, ancient and recent.”
