Clarksville, TN – The Christmas spirit was in full force over the weekend as Bikers Who Care (BWC) partnered with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) and Clarksville Police Department to pass out Christmas cash to unsuspecting residents.
Deputy Ryan Wright, Deputy Brooke Sinitiere, Officer Pete Millan and Officer Alex Koziol, along with a team of men from BWC distributed $4000 to citizens on Saturday. They stopped motorist or shoppers and presented them with $100.00 each in cash.
Residents repeatedly expressed tearful and heartfelt gratitude to the officers and deputies for the random acts of kindness.
Elijah Jackson, 10, and his grandmother and aunt were handing out care packages to the homeless on New Providence Boulevard when the secret Santa team stopped to give him $100.00. When asked what he planned to do with the money, Elijah said he would use it to buy more supplies to make more homeless care packages.
Money for the event is donated by the BWC and an anonymous donor. BWC holds fundraisers throughout the year to support other charitable causes like Dream Factory’s Camp Rainbow.
“This is the third year BWC has made such an amazing event possible,” said Sandra Brandon, Public Information Officer for the Sheriff’s Office. “We appreciate them for giving us the opportunity to help give back to the community.”
