Clarksville, TN – The wizarding world of Harry Potter makes an appearance at the Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library on February 1st, 2018 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm as a part of a worldwide celebration of the book series by author J.K. Rowling.
Muggles, witches, and wizards of all ages can join in the fun as areas throughout the library transform into Hogwarts, Diagon Alley, and Hogsmeade.
Enjoy experiments in Potions Class, or have your tea leaves read in Divination.
The Dueling Club is returning due to popular demand.
Brand new this year is a Sorting Hat Ceremony, where witches and wizards will be sorted into their appropriate Hogwarts houses. A live-animal Care of Magical Creatures Class taught by Brad Reynolds of Real Science will feature different animals this year.
There will be two sessions of the live-animal Care of Magical Creatures Class taking place at 5:30pm and 6:30pm. Tickets are required to enter the class and will be available beginning at 4:45pm.
The theme for this year’s event is “Fantastic Beasts.” During the event, a Fantastic Beasts Scavenger Hunt will be underway as fans search the building for clues to catch all the magical creatures loose in the library.
Trivia contests and games will give members of the Hogwarts houses chances to earn house points. At the end of the evening, library staff will announce which Hogwarts house has been awarded the most points, and the respective house will be awarded the House Cup.
People of all ages are invited to celebrate J.K. Rowling’s beloved novels and pass along the enchantment to another generation at their public library.
