Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University men’s tennis team begins a seven-game road trip this weekend, starting with a 5:00pm, Saturday, February 3rd contest against Lipscomb and then traveling to Louisville for a 6:00pm start, Sunday.

Knoxville, TN – No. 18 Tennessee remains at home Saturday for a matchup with Ole Miss in Thompson-Boling Arena, where the Vols will look to extend their four-game winning streak. The game tips at 5:00pm CT and will be televised live on SEC Network and streamed online via WatchESPN.
The Vols (16-5, 6-3 SEC) are coming off an 84-61 victory over LSU at home, marking UT’s second 23-point win in as many games. Tennessee’s recent success has been a result of stellar defensive play, as the Volunteers are holding opponents to just 58.7 points per game over the last six contests. The group ranks as the No. 7 team in the country for defensive efficiency according to KenPom.

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University men’s basketball looks to begin a road winning streak when the Govs travel to Cape Girardeau, Missouri to take on Southeast Missouri.
After back-to-back 90-point outings, the Govs defeated UT Martin, 59-57, in Thursday’s contest–their first win when scoring less than 60 points since January 24th, 2015.
Nashville, TN – Nashville Zoo is hosting a weekend job fair on February 11th–12th, 2018 from 9:00am–4:00pm for those interested in working at the Zoo during the 2018 busy season.
The Zoo is looking for quality employees who are available to work flexible hours on weekdays as well as weekends in the spring, summer and fall seasons
Representatives from the Zoo’s maintenance, horticulture, and guest services departments will be available to answer questions and receive resumes and job applications.
Seasonal positions include: guest services associates, groundskeepers, horticulture technicians and custodians.

Clarksville, TN – On Friday February 2nd, 2018, Clarksville Police Chief Ansley and The Red Cross recognized two officers, Donald Gipson and Darren Koski for their actions during an emergency situation.
Chief Ansley presented the officers with the prestigious Medal of Valor and Katy Hagstrom gave the officers a Red Cross Extraordinary Personal Action Certificate.
Michael McWhorter’s 45 years tops this year’s list
Clarksville, TN – For Michael McWhorter, who’s worked for the Clarksville Gas and Water Department for more than four decades, the first day on the job remains among the most memorable.
“I was 18, just out of high school, and this was my first full-time job,” McWhorter said. “On the way to work that Monday, my car ran out of gas at the Kraft Street/Riverside Drive intersection., so I ran all the way to Gas & Water, which was on Public Square in those days. I was about five minutes late, but it turned out all right.”

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Gas and Water currently has water turned off on Seventh Street from Madison Street to Commerce Street to repair a water main leak. The road will also be closed to traffic. Area residents may experience low water pressure or water outage during the repair.
The road is anticipated to be reopened and the repair work complete by approximately 3:00pm.
Clarksville, TN – During the winter break, a group of Austin Peay State University students and a staff member traveled to Flovilla, Georgia, for an Alternative Break Trip.
The group stayed in a cabin on Lake Macintosh in Indian Springs State Park.
