Clarksville Police releases Saturation Patrol results from February 9th-11th

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police Department’s Traffic Enforcement Unit and Patrol Officers had a busy weekend charging 12 people with DUI, February 9th-11th, 2018.

Five were charged after traffic crashes, three were charged when a driver was found asleep or passed out at the wheel on the roadway or drive thru, one driver ran over a curb, two were traffic infractions—speeding and failure to obey traffic signal, and in one incident the driver almost hit several cars.

The offenders’ ages ranged between 19 and 45.

Crashes occurred in varying parts of the city and there was not one roadway which stood out.

Three out of 12 refused to provide a blood or breath sample. The breath samples ranged between .10 – .12. The majority of the DUIs were between 12:30am–4:30am.

Additionally, the Tennessee Highway Patrol charged three other people with DUI which brought the total up to 15 DUIs.
