Clarksville Police report Two Juveniles Charged in String of Vehicle Burglaries

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police have charged two juveniles, 16 and 17, in a string of vehicle burglaries occurring in the last week. The seven vehicle burglaries the juveniles were charged with occurred in the area of Canvasback Drive, Tana Way, and Sunbelt Drive.

The juveniles said they would go neighborhood to neighborhood on foot in the early morning hours checking for unlocked vehicles to enter.

They were not looking for anything in particular to take.

They stole one vehicle after they found keys inside of the unlocked car.

They used the car to travel to other neighborhoods to break into vehicles. The stolen vehicle has been recovered. Based on information gathered during the investigation, there were other vehicles rummaged through, but there wasn’t a police report filed.

The juveniles were charged with the Burglaries and sent home with their parents.

The investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be filed. Detective Neagos is the lead investigator.
