The Simi Valley, CA, native was a force at the plate this past week batting .364 over seven games, as the Govs posted a 5-2 mark and reached the finals of the WKU Hilltopper Spring Fling Tournament.

Liermann would end the week with eight hits, including three home runs, while driving in a conference-high 12 runs over the period. She would also score three times, steal a base and draw three walks, posting a .773 slugging percentage and a .440 on-base percentage, while being credited with the game-winning hits in the Arkansas-Pine Bluff and Western Kentucky (Saturday) victories.

It’s the first weekly conference honor for an Austin Peay softball player this season and the first since Carly Mattson earned the same honor back on February 13th, 2017.

Liermann’s selection is the 16th time overall that an Austin Peay softball player has won OVC Player of the Week honors.
