Clarksville, TN – The Nashville Predators extended their franchise record win streak to 10 in a row with a hard fought win over the visiting Anaheim Ducks, 4-2 tonight at Bridgestone Arena.
In front of another sold out Smashville home crowd and the NHL commissioner Gary Bettman, the Predators fought off a furious Anaheim third period assault to clinch the victory.
Craig Smith got Nashville on the board first at 5:26 of the first period, with his wrist shot that beat Anaheim goalie John Gibson for the early 1-0 lead. Smith was assisted by Kyle Turris and Ryan Hartman on the score.

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s softball team will make its first ever trip to Johnson City, Tennessee, and Betty Basler Field this weekend to play in the East Tennessee State University Buccaneer Classic.
The Governors (6-7) will open-up play in the classic, 9:00am, Saturday morning versus Jackson State, followed by a 1:30pm afternoon contest against the classic’s host East Tennessee.

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan is cheering Clarksville homebuyers for jumping on Tennessee Housing Development Agency’s $15,000 HHF Down Payment Assistance program at rates far above the rest of the state.
Mayor McMillan met with Ralph Perrey, executive director of the Tennessee Housing Development Agency (THDA), at City Hall on Thursday afternoon to get an update on the program’s success one year after its launch.

On Thursday, March, 8th, 2018, Clarksville Police officers responded to a Robbery at 1954 Madison Street, Walgreen’s. Four men entered the store, in pairs, at different times.

Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) reports that in Montgomery County starting Tuesday, March 13th, there will be grading, drainage, construction of welded steel plate girder bridge, retaining wall and paving on Highway 149 and Highway 13 from River Road to Zinc Plant Road continuing daily from 9:00am until 3:00pm.
There will be temporary lane closure with flagging operations on Highway 13 for construction of new haul road.
