Clarksville Parks and Recreation to offer Spring programs

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation is gearing up for three popular annual spring programs that are fun for the whole family.

Community Flea Market: The second annual Community Flea Market will be from 8:00am to 1:00pm on March 17th at the Burt-Cobb Recreation Center on Franklin Street.

Over 30 vendors will be present selling both new and used items. Items will include jewelry, home goods, crafts, clothing and toys.  Admission is free to shoppers.

Tumbling Camp: Keep your children active this spring break by enrolling them into Spring Break Tumbling Camp.

The camp is for boys and girls, ages 6-16, and will be from 9:00am-11:30am on March 26th-29th at American Twisters Tumbling, 438 Kelly Lane.  Pre-registration is required and can be completed online at cityofclarksville.com/parksrec or by calling 931.645.7476.

Stroller Workout: The Parks and Recreation Department has teamed up with iStroll this spring to offer the ultimate 60-minute stroller workout designed by athletes specifically for parents.

Classes are offered beginning April 2nd during the week at Heritage Park, and on Saturdays at Liberty Park.  In addition to being a great workout, iStroll provides a social network for mom and dads and a playgroup for children.  Be sure to wear workout clothes and bring your stroller and baby. Participants must register online at istroll.com.
