Clarksville Police respond to Shots Fired on Francesca Drive

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Thursday, March 22nd, 2018 around 7:37pm, Clarksville Police Officers were dispatched to a shots fired call at the 1300 block of Francesca Drive.

When officers arrived they were told by a man that he went to do a welfare check on his neighbor due to some erratic behavior. He said the neighbor, Joseph Dunn, came to the door and told him to leave, displayed a firearm, and then discharged the firearm.

It was not aimed at the man, but fired to the outside of the house.

Police were called, evacuated residents that were willing to leave, established a safety zone around the house, and called the Tactical Team and Crisis Negotiators.

Crisis Negotiators were able to convince the man to come out of the house without injury or incident around 10:50pm.

Joseph Dunn, 44 was taken into custody transported to Montgomery County Jail and charged with Reckless Endangermant. His Bond is set at $10,000.
