Clarksville Police report Attempted Child Abduction

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police investigated a report of an attempted child abduction shortly after noon Saturday, April 21st, 2018 involving a suspect described as a tanned white male in driving a light brown pickup truck and armed with a black handgun.

A seven-year-old girl and a nine-year-old girl stated the man stopped beside them on Wakefield Drive to ask personal questions about them before trying to grab one of the children.

The suspect reportedly released the child when she began screaming for help.

The suspect sped away, turning onto West Mor Drive. Neither child was injured.

Other witnesses saw the suspect vehicle which is further described as a light brown pickup with a matching shell camper that is the same height as the cab. The truck had a Titans football emblem on the back window of the camper, as well as some sort of eagle emblem or sticker.

Anyone with information about this suspect or this vehicle is asked to dial 911.
